SONET (School Of New and Emerging Technology) program is initiated to uphold this ideology of introducing new emerging technologies.
Every semester some new techonologies are offered to students of I year to III year to enhance their programming skilis, critical thinking and effective learning.
NGIT students participate in large number in project Hackathons like SIH (Smart India Hackathon), Google Summer Code, Virtusa Jatayu, etc., as all these programs are guided by Industry based national and international mentors, it helps the students to get an insight into the cutting-edge technology.

Internal Smart India Hackathon 2022
Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2022is a nation wide initiative to provide students a platform to solve some of the pressing innovation and a mindset of problemsolving.

The Hackathon held at Block–A, Seminar Hall and Total number of Teams Registered 15 and all the teams were related presented their Problem Statement presentations.
The Problem Statement presentation for Internal Smart India Hackathon 2022 were successful with the positive respon in the exit meet followed by distribution of certificates to the participating teams and the Jury members.
